The first evening talk of IATMI – UAE in 2018 was done on Thursday 12th April, 2018 at Mark & Spencer Bdg, Abu Dhabi. It was attended by eighteen audiens with various expertise background. The first session begun at 20:00 PM, this was presented by Mr. Graham Bell (EPIC), his presentation was about the latest breakthrough in electronic data collection and evacuation systems on board  (PoB), especially on offshore oil and gas facilities such as rigs, platforms, etc. Mr. Graham managed to attract the audiences attention and enthusiasm. During the question and answer session, the participants asked questions about the effectiveness of e-PoB when the emergency occurred. Currently, EPIC has big number of client, especially IOC and Oil and Gas companies who are committed to 100% HSE.

The first session followed by dinner. After the meal, the event continued to the second presentation which presented by Mr. Arwansyah Johan (ADNOC Onshore). The presentation material was packed in such a way that the audience can see the outline of the well-planning process from the subsurface study stage to the well hand-over by the drilling section to the production section. The session become more intens in question & answer when the presenter begun to bring-up the sub-topic such as mud drilling, casing design and QA / QC before well hand-over. As case studies, the session discussed the lesson learn of the explosion of the Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico, also the challenge of well drilling in the Makassar Strait with the water depth of 2-3 KM. Both case was used to show the importance of well execution planning.

The event was Concluded by giving the certificate of appreciation to the speakers.
