The evening talk was done on Wednesday May 9th, 2018 attended by approximately 40 members of IATMI – UAE. The event was divided into two sessions. The first session was hosted by Ms. Rofita, Minister Counselor, Head of Fungsi Pensosbud of the Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia. The presentation title was “The role of the Indonesian Embassy in the development of WNI capacity in UAE”. In her presentation Ms. Rofita presented the things that have been done by The Embassy, in addition, she talked about the need for professional workers in Abu Dhabi to see the business opportunities in UAE. She also expressed her willingness to facilitate a sharing sessions with business chambers from the South East Asian countries that already do a lot of business in Abu Dhabi.

The first session was followed by a break for dinner with Indonesian Dish – Nasi Kuning which has been prepared by the committee. In the second session, Mr. Abraham Muttaqin, Lead engineer of NPCC Abu Dhabi explained the use of Finite element simulation in Oil and gas industry and other industries. The presentation came with examples of simulation usage such as aerodynamic calculations for vehicle, fluid dynamics when a vehicle do overtaking, etc. For applications in oil and gas, Mr. Abraham provides a simulation example when a ship’s anchor hooks and damages submarine pipelines. During question and answer session, the speaker also explained the possibility to use of the simulation method for piping integrity check in relation with pipe wall thinning and internal pressure.

The event was ended by giving the certificate of appreciation to the speakers by the chairman of IATMI – UAE Mr. Andi Salahuddin followed by a photo session.
